Terminal ring design
Welded rings inevitably carry microscopic stress points where metal was heated and joined. The MORITA MFG Solid Rings avoid this vulnerability by being punched directly from uniform plate stock of 316 Marine Stainless Steel, ensuring structural continuity throughout the entire circumference. Following stamping, the rings spend several days in multi-stage ceramic tumbling media to produce a rounded inner radius. This smooth contour distributes knot tension evenly, protecting delicate leader materials from abrupt friction cuts during heavy hook sets.

Rigging questions
Are these rings punched or formed from drawn wire? +
These are stamped from plate 316 marine stainless steel, then precision-radiused in mechanical tumbling baths.
Will fluorocarbon bite into the ring inner edge? +
The tumbling process produces an intentional curve that prevents hard edges from cutting into softer monofilament or fluorocarbon strands.
Can these be reused across multiple terminal rigs? +
As long as the steel shows no severe physical deformity, the ring retains its rated tensile integrity.
What leader diameters suit size M best? +
The internal diameter accommodates shock leaders up to 100-pound test with adequate knot clearance.
User observations
"The edge tumbling on these rings is clean. Cinched heavy line down hard without any scuffing on the knot wraps."
